What is in a name? ALOT. At least in my world. The name of my characters is very important to me. The names of some of my characters have a lot of meaning behind them. So, I do want to take and talk about a few of my character names in Deadly Conflicts and why I used the names that I used.
I name my characters very carefully especially my main characters. I gave my main female character in Deadly Conflicts a floral first and middle name for a very good reason. Lilly symbolizes devotion, but it also symbolizes something with funerals that is very important as at the start of the book she fakes her death and receives a new life one that she thinks is full of innocence. Which is a symbol that is not very well known that the Lilly is used to symbolize that the soul of the departed has received restored innocence after their death something that is shown briefly in the sample as well. Rose symbolizes promise, hope, new beginnings, but its thorns mean defense. Again this is show in the start of the book when she leads 3 other agents out of the agency into new lives with her own plan. Defense and new beginnings really are explored later in the book so her whole name encompasses the whole book. Roses also depending upon colors can mean different things as well. Red love and romance, orange passion, white innocence and purity things again touched upon in different ways in the book.
I will go over a few over a few other names that I used in the book in a few other posts. I want to give those characters the time they deserve.
