Sorry for disappearing again.  Things have been busy for me again.  I am still working on trying to get my YouTube channel up and running I am close to getting my first video done, if I can get my equipment to work correctly.  I have done some test video’s with two programs but they didn’t work on either program.  So, I am getting closer.

On to my biggest news.  Today is my 1 year of anniversary of the books release.  No this isn’t an April Fools joke my book was released on April 1 of 2018 despite the publication date listed on websites.  As the book was self-published, they put down the last payment date as the publication date which was incorrect.

Other news is that I am back to working on my other stories and hope to have another manuscript ready to be set up with a publisher.  But this time I am going to be doing more reviewing of publishers before choosing my next publisher since it will end up being another self-published book.  As this publisher has done me wrong in more ways than one that I will not get into in this post as I want to keep it a happy post.  It is a happy time today so let’s celebrate.  My Patreon will now be focused on helping to publish my next book.  I will be editing my levels to include monthly rewards not just one time rewards after being a Patreon for 3 months.

Sorry to all my readers who read my blog.  I know I haven’t been around the last two months.  Things got crazy for me and I just couldn’t find the time to write my posts and such.  Just a small recap I did have a lot of work to do that kept me busy from the time I get up until when I go back to bed.  That is one thing.

Another is the death of a guy I went to elementary school with.  This really did hit me as he had been a jerk to me when we went to school together but at our unofficial 20-year school reunion he did apologize for his actions when we were kids and we became close friends.  The first week of October he was gunned down after trying to help a woman who had gotten hit by a car while riding a bike during a weekly bike riding event that he found while driving around.  He had chased the car down after the car hit the woman.  Another car pulled up when he caught up with the other vehicle and he was shot.  I take things very seriously.

But I have also been thinking of doing a vlog rather than a blog as I do not know if many people read blogs these days.  Plus, I can upload the videos to YouTube.  Which I hope to reach more people that way.  I will also be able to do more with that then I can with just a blog.  They would be unscripted for the most part and unedited.  So, this means if I screw up I would refilm the vlog.  So, I hope to film my first few this weekend.  Which is another reason why I would rather do vlogs I can pre-record them and put them into a posting order. Plus, I do not have the time or the knowledge to change a video.  Another is the fact that I will be using a webcam and my computer to film the vlogs.

Another reason for changing from a blog to a vlog is to be able to do more than what I blog can do.  I can talk about more issues.  I will probably revisit topics I have already blogged about, but these will not be rehashing of old posts as I will talk about more than what I typed.  When I type things out it can take me a few times to get the exact message I want out there.  In a video, I can type up some notes on what I want to cover, and I know I will be able to get everything out.  Another reason I will be doing old post topics.

Readers beware. Please do not purchase my book from any 3rd party vendor on Amazon they may have it listed as having my bookselling as ‘used’ or a ‘lower’ price than the suggested retail price of my book. When purchasing my book on Amazon purchase directly from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or an actual bookstore not a 3rd party vendor like the ones listed on Amazon as there are no old copies of my books all of my books are new these are just printing companies that are reprinting my books for less which means less for me in the end. I worked hard on my book and yes entertaining people is the first thing I want to do with my book. My royalties are second but by buying from those 3rd parties you are supporting false book printers of my book. They may be selling the book for less but that just means they are printing it at a lower quality. My book is self-published, and I paid a lot for this book to have this book go out at a high quality, so to find out that low-quality printers are reprinting my book is very disturbing. So please only purchase from Barnes and Noble in-store or online, directly from Amazon or if you find it in a local bookstore, not at their website as I do not know where the books are being printed from, purchase from the physical bookstore. Only Barnes and Noble website is the only one I trust to be getting the books direct from my publisher, not just random printers. When I went through the publication process I even got to choose the prices for my books. Mind you at the time I was unaware of the size of the books. The book is much larger than a traditional paperback book, but the publisher does their pricing based upon how many pages the book is. So, I had limited options. They originally wanted to price the books for much more than what I choose for the books. If the paperback format was a traditional paperback format, then it would be much longer page wise. But trust me the size of the book doesn’t matter the story the pages contain does and trust me when I tell you that you will love Deadly Conflicts.

Also, note the #Deadlyconflicts in my photo.  I am going to be running an event for September of 2018.  Starting today post #Deadlyconflicts on any social media that you use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram from now until the end of September I will be tallying up the number of times I find that #Deadlyconflicts has been found on social media.  I am looking for at least 100.  If this is reached by the end of September 2018 I will run a Goodreads contest October 2018 for free books.  I will be using the hash tagging as a way to gauge how many people actually read my posts and pay attention to them.  Plus, this gives me a way to see how popular a possible contest would be.  So, the more tags the more of a chance I will run the contest.  So, get tagging.
